Archaeologists dug up what they believe to be the remains of a melon, the oldest ever found. The half-rounded piece of melon was radiocarbon dated and found to be about 2,100 years old. The well-preserved state of the melon is a result of it lying in a vacuum-packed state. The melon was in a wet layer below the ground.
